QubitTasks ("we", "us", "our") is a project management platform operated by RisingLMS. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our service at qubittasks.com. We are committed to being transparent about our data practices and protecting your privacy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed and encrypted). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Workspace and Project Data
This includes projects, tasks, comments, attachments, team memberships, and any other content you create within your workspace. This data belongs to you and your organization.
Usage Data
We collect basic usage data such as login timestamps and last access times to maintain account security. If you have accepted analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how our website is used in aggregate. You can decline analytics cookies at any time.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers or bank details on our servers. We retain only Stripe customer and subscription identifiers to manage your billing.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the QubitTasks platform
- To authenticate your identity and secure your account
- To send transactional emails (password resets, invitations, task notifications) that you have opted into
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To provide customer support when you request it
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
3. What We Will Never Do
- xSell your data. We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information or organization data to third parties. Period.
- xAccess your workspace without permission. We do not view, analyze, or access your organization's projects, tasks, comments, or any workspace content unless you have explicitly requested support and granted us access.
- xUse your data for advertising. We do not use your workspace data to target ads or build advertising profiles.
4. Qubit AI Assistant
QubitTasks includes an AI assistant (Qubit AI) that helps you manage tasks and projects through natural language. Here is how your data is handled in relation to the AI:
- Workspace-scoped. The AI operates strictly within your workspace context. It can only access projects, tasks, and members within your own workspace - never across workspaces or other organizations.
- No external training. Your conversations and workspace data are not used to train general-purpose AI models. The AI is specialized to your working environment.
- Session-based conversations. AI chat history is stored locally in your browser session and is cleared when you close the tab or clear your chat. We do not persist AI conversation logs on our servers.
- Third-party processing. AI requests are processed through AWS Bedrock (Amazon Web Services). AWS does not use your data to train their models when accessed through Bedrock. See AWS Bedrock's security documentation for details.
5. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on secure servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plain text
- All connections to QubitTasks are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
- Authentication tokens are HTTP-only cookies with secure flags enabled
- File attachments are stored in encrypted S3 buckets with access controls
6. Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies - Authentication tokens required to keep you signed in. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies - Google Analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns. These are optional and require your explicit consent. You can change your preference at any time through the cookie banner.
7. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate QubitTasks:

Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We select providers that maintain strong data protection standards and we do not share more data with them than is necessary for their function.
8. Data Retention
- Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active
- If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed. Workspace data shared with other members may be retained for those members
- We may retain minimal records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (fraud prevention, legal compliance)
- Blog subscription emails are retained until you unsubscribe
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access - Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction - Update or correct your personal information through your account settings
- Deletion - Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Data portability - Request an export of your data in a standard format
- Withdraw consent - Opt out of analytics cookies or email notifications at any time

10. Children's Privacy
QubitTasks is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the platform or by email. Continued use of QubitTasks after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
